Blaenau Gwent
Another small county from former Glamorgan, Blaenau Gwent has some steep valleys and forestry to explore. The highest point is Coity Mountain; 1,896 feet (578 m).
Recently (February 2020) the Aberystruth Archaeological Society discovered ancient cairns dated back to 4,500 year-old used to bury the leaders or chieftains of neolithic tribes in the Cwmcelyn valley. So new history is being found all the time.
